Course Objective

In this course, it is aimed to enable students to develop mathematical models and use computer assisted solution methods to find the best solutions for industrial engineering problems by describing them subjects, such as multi-criteria decision making, game theory, decision analysis, utility theory, network models and nonlinear programming.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to know the application areas of Operations Research and to identify the problems from real life
2   To be able to create and solve network models and nonlinear models for the solution of engineering problems
3   To know and be able to apply multi-criteria decision making techniques
4   To be able to apply game, utility theory and decision analysis techniques
5   To be able to apply the methods described in the course with the help of computer softwares
6   To be able to make a project using the methods described in the course
