Course Objective

It is expected that students will learn the strength of machine elements in new designs, fundamentals of the machine elements, importance of standarts and tolerances, the calculation, design and use of machine elements.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of the course are expected to be classified according to the principle of force and couple machine elements.
2   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to organize the tolerance systems at basic knowledge level
3   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able solve the problems using with the knowledge of the materal and strength
4   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to use standarts in machine desing
5   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to interpret machine desing and knowlage of the material and strength
6   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to deciding which type of Unseparable joints, separable joints, shaft hub connections and spring systems will use

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Two midterm exams and a final exams are held. Success grade is calculated by considering 25% of midterm exams and 50% of final exam. Depending on the situation, one of the midterm exams can be evaluated with the quiz averages (or it can be evaluated with a quiz package).

Assessment Criteria

ÖÇ1, ÖÇ2, ÖÇ3, ÖÇ4,ÖÇ5 and ÖÇ6 are assesment with exams and quizs

The information given in Technical Drawing, Static and Strength lessons is important to be able to create the sub-structure of the course.
It is recommended that students who take the course pay particular attention to this point. It is difficult for MAK 3027 to be successful if not enough information is available.
