Course Objective

The providing students to be aware the effect of engineering applications on society and environment, informing them about their rights, obligations and profession ethical codes which are must followed while they will carry out their engineering professions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Awareness of the social and environmental effects of engineering applications.
2   Learning of working ethic codes for engineering.
3   The get experience about evaluating the ethical actions and solving ethical dilemmas thanks to case studies.
4   Knowledge and awarenes of how textile processes influence the environment and the legel regulations about environment.
5   Awareness and informing about the employee or employer rights and obligations.
6   Awareness about entrepreneurship, business idea and development of business idea.
7   Understanding the concepts about risk evaluation and management.

4 1.6. Evaluation of Ethical Actions, Approaches and Tests which can be used in decision process, Examine the case studies.
5 Section 2: Engineering applications and environment 2.1.Introduction and common knowledge: Environment in technical terms, factors influencing the environment, basic approaches about environment
6 2.2.Applications to prevent pollution: waste treatment facilities, filters, solid waste management
7 2.3.The Effects of Textile Industry on Environment 2.4.Legal Legislation about Environment in Textile Industry 2.5. Management System Standards and Certificates about Environment.
8 Section 3: Business Law 3.1.The Main Concepts in Individual and Collective Business Laws: Employee, apprentice, intern, employer, representative of the employer, workplace, business, labour contract, working times, resting times, rescission, indemnity and so on.
