Course Objective

This course aims to introduce terminology relative to the administration of cities; discussion of theoretical approaches within the context of different social-economical and political processes. It also aims to introduce the Turkish legal framework about the administration of cities

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define the necessities of democratic aspects of city administration
2   Identify the social, economical and political processes of administration of cities
3   Express different approaches of city administration within the historical process
4   Interpret the transformation process to governance of cities
5   Explain the current and changing Turkish legal framework of city administration
