Course Objective

In this course, it's aimed to discuss the interaction of human psychology with the physical and social environment through environmental psychology and urban design disciplines.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to learn the concepts and principles of environmental psychology.
2   to list the psychological, architectural and geographical variables that effects the perception of the environment.
3   to interpret the methods that analyse human and environment interactions.
4   to analyse the relation between environmental psychology and urban design.
5   to evaluate the effects of existing urban environments on human psychology within the scope of the principles that are learnt in the course.

Listing and Description are evaluated by the Midterm Evaluation. Analysis and Interpretation are evaluated by Homework. Interpretation, Analysis and Evaluation are evaluated by the Final Exam.
