Course Objective

The objectives of this course are to consider the effects of sustainable principles in architectural design process and to associate the knowledge about the architectural sustainability with some building types such as educational buildings and hospital buildings.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define the concept of sustainability, sustainable architecture and sustainable design principles
2   Ability to evaluate the concept of sustainability from urban scale to building scale through different keywords and exemplify sustainable architectural design principles over different building types such as education and healthcare
3   Learning about national / international laws, regulations and certification systems and learning responsibilities in this area
