Course Objective

To enable students to define and present a design problem within the framework of upper-scale urban relations and to transform their ideas into spatial and formal designs within a complex program by including interdisciplinary studies in the process and by managing the process as much as possible.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Comprehending, presenting and analyzing the design problem within the framework of complex relationships ranging from the land to urban, regional and global scale
2   To be able to transform their inquiries into a design idea with a perspective that carries a critical and responsible attitude towards the city, the environment and society
3   To be able to produce innovative and creative architectural solutions for a large-scale and complex program that understands public practices
4   To be able to elaborate and present architectural proposals by developing them in terms of spatial, structural and technical equipment
5   To be able to integrate interdisciplinary information into the design process and manage the process autonomously
