Course Objective

Bryofits in terms of general characteristics. Land collection and storage techniques. Similar and different sides of liverworts and hornworts. Identification of specimens from the liver of the liverworts (Marchantiopsida). Diagnosis of hornworts (Anthocerotopsida) samples. Giving information about biology of liverworts and hornworts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand and recognize the Bryophytes in the general sense.
2   To learn the collection and storage techniques of Marchantiopsida and Anthocerotopsida.
3   To comprehend the separation of liverworts and hornworts with similar and different sides.
4   To be able to determine the taxa of Tallus built liverwort (Marchantiopsida).
5   To be able to analyze genus and species of hornworts (Anthocerotopsida).
