Course Objective

Theoretical knowledge about the etiology of cancer, different types of cancer, medical treatment and physiotherapy techniques in oncological diseases are aimed to learn

1   Define the basic concepts and principles of oncological physiotherapy
2   Knows oncological diseases
3   Defines evidence-based approach to physiotherapy assessment and treatment of oncologic diseases
4   Know the mediacal treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy
5   Select the appropriate methods of physiotherapy assessment and treatment according to type of
6   Explain the concepts psychosocial rehabilitation of cancer
7   Know multidisciplinary team work

Course Policies and Rules

The course has 2 lecturers. Each week will be taught by the responsible faculty member on Thursdays between 15:30 and 17:15 as 2 course hours. Each lecturer who is responsible for lecturing according to the subject will attend the lecture for 6 weeks in total throughout the semester and teach the relevant subject.
