Course Objective

The course focuses on current issues and theories in the field of psychotherapy that constitute the largest part of clinical psychology. It is aimed to provide the students knowledge about the current studies and findings related to effectiveness and efficacy of psychotherapies.

1   To be able to define current research methods in clinical psychology and psychotherapy
2   To be able to read and summarize current approaches in the field of clinical psychology and pscyhotherapy
3   To be able to comprehend transdiagnostic approach that is one of contemporary issues of psychotherapy
4   To be able to define curret psychotherapeutic interventions in health psychology.
5   To be able to understand the use of technological improvements in psychotherapy practices.
6   To be able to make inferences about developments in the light of current research

Assessment Criteria

In total, one midterm, one final and one homework will be conducted. There will be open-ended questions in the levels of information, comprehension, analysis, interpretation and synthesis for all exams.
