Course Objective

To understand the importance of popular culture and reproduction of everyday life in making sense of comtemporary social life experience

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to understand method and concepts of popular culture studies
2   to understand the centrality of popular culture in the reproduction of everyday life
3   to understand if popular culture emerges as against elite culture or interacts with it
4   to understand the relationship between media and popular culture
5   to understand the relationship between popular culture and estetization of everyday life
6   to understand popular culture is not free from power relations
