Course Objective

To address the source of inequality in societies in the historical process and to examine the inter-layer passivity

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain the basic theories and concepts related to social stratification and mobility
2   To be able to define different social stratification models
3   To be able to explain the foundations of social, economic and political inequalities
4   To be able to understand social classes and class conflicts
5   To be able to analyze the opposing theories on layer and class
6   To be able to comprehend the role of categories such as gender, race and religion in stratification
