Course Objective

Myths will be introduced. Myths, grabbed its place in folklore.Introduce the definition of the type and epic, epicformation, propagation areas and understand the passage ofwriting. Turkish epics showing sources of Islam, is to facilitate the examination of pre-formed by taking the Turkish epics. Introducevariations of the type of legend and myth.

6 General features of the saga; motifs, narration, types, time, space,and themes.

8 Turkish epics sources, classifications.
9 Epics of pre-Islamic Turks, Alp Er Tunga and Su Epics
10 Epics of pre-Islamic Turks, Oguz Kagan
11 Pre-Islamic Turkish Epics; Tureyis epics
12 Efsane
13 The differences between the epic type with the story
14 Efsane types.
