Course Objective

After the II. Constitutional Monarchy, to analyse the establishment of National Literature movement, its basic pirinciples, the writers and the works of the period beside the new offers bringing to Turkish Litarature.

2   Learns reasons of constition beneath National Literature period.
3   Learns figures and masterpieces of National Literature period.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 To present the social and political position of National Literature movement.
2 After the II. Constitutional Monarchy, to inform about the movements of Turkism and Turkish Language and literary factions.
3 To inform about the New Language Movement.
4 Poem at National Literature movement: to inform about Ziya Gokalp, Midhat Cemal Kuntay, Ibrahim Alaattin Govsa
5 To inform about the position and the canalizing of Yahya Kemal at National Literature movement.
6 To introduce the movement of Poets Society
7 To introduce Mehmet Akif Ersoy as a separate personality and explain his literary character.
8 To inform generally about the story and novel at National Literature movement and to analyse the work called Efruz Bey by Omer Seyfettin
9 To analyse the work called Yeni Turan by Halide Edip Adivar.
10 To analyse the work called Atesten Gomlek by Halide Edip Adivar
11 To analyse the work called Kiralik Konak by Yakup Kadri.
12 To analyse the work called Kiralik Konak by Yakup Kadri.
13 To analyse the work called Calikusu by Resat Nuri Guntekin
