Course Objective

To be able to understand, explain and discuss the basics concepts, theories and technics of production and operations management.

1 Project Management-1 (defining and organizing projects, constructing project networks, developing the project schedule, analyzing cost time trade-offs, assessing and analyzing risks, monitoring and controlling projects)

3 Forecasting-1 (managing demand, key decisions on making forecasts, forecast error, judgement methods, causal methods: linear regression, time-series methods, forecasting as a process)

5 Inventory Management-1 (inventory trade-offs, types of inventory, inventory reduction tactics, abc analysis, economic order quantity, continuous review system, periodic review system)
