Course Objective

Students will learn about functions and structures of human body organs and systems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To obtain knowledge of basic concepts and principles of the anatomy and physiology
2   To comprehend importance of the growth and development that occurs during the period between 0- 6 years.
3   To explain the functions of the organ systems based on scientific principles
4   To comprehend the relationships between organ systems
5   To relate the real life health problems with the organ physiology

5 Circulatory System (Physiology and structure of the heart and the blood vessels, blood and the lymph system)
6 Circulatory System (Physiology and structure of the blood and the lymph system)
7 The physiology and structure of the respiratory system
8 Midterm Exam
9 Digestive system (tongue, teeth, salivary glands, pharynx, esophagus, stomach)
10 Digestive system (thin and thick intestines, liver and pancreas)
11 The physiology and structure of excretory system
12 The physiology and structure of the nervous system
13 The physiology and structure of the endocrine system
14 The physiology and structure of the reproductive system
15 Final Exam
