Course Objective

To learn typefacedesign process and generate a typeface design on computer. On this purpose to learn Typeface Designer and Foundries.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to have the knowledge of typeface design, produce and marketing and use it in practice
2   To be able to follow up the contemporary typeface designers and typeface designs
3   To be able to have the software knowledge related to the typeface design
4   To be able to finish tehir designs on time and peresent them in a creative and an unexpected way

1 Discussion: What is Foundry How is generate a typeface design and marketing What is Modular typeface and how it make Homework: To find a modular typeface design and bring it to the net course To denote with examples on typeface designs and modular typeface designs.
2 Project I: Modular Typeface Design To interview from typeface design that is brought by students.
3 Project I: Modular Typeface Design Critic on sketches or visuals.
4 Project I: Modular Typeface Design Choosing a sketch and transfering to computer or make a model.
5 Project I: Modular Typeface Design Critic on completed design.
6 Project II: Foundling Typeface Design To interview from foundling typeface design and discusse on examples.
7 Project II: Foundling Typeface Design Critic on sketches or visuals
8 Project II: Foundling Typeface Design Choosing a sketch and transfering to computer or make a model.
9 Project II: Foundling Typeface Design Critic on completed design.
10 Project III: Organic Typeface Design To interview from organic typeface design and discusse on examples.
