Course Objective

This course aims at investigating the syntactic structure of Turkish from the perspective of contemporary syntactic theories and investigating word order, phrase structure, syntactic and grammatical categories and the elements of the sentence. Also studies on Turkish syntax and Turkish syntactic trees will be briefly overviewed.

The students will also be assessed with regard to participation and overall attitude during lectures. The assesment will be graded via Lecture Activity Assesment sections in the VISA and FINAL exams.

1- Learning outcomes 1-5 will be evaluated via the questions asked in the mid-term and final exams.
