Course Objective

Explain the fundamentals of ecosystem structure and function. Explain how ecological communities change in both space and time. Define biodiversity and explain why biodiversity is important

1   : Describe how organisms interact with each other and their environments
2   : Compare air, water and soil as environmental media providing resources and determining living conditions for organisms
3   Explain the fundamentals of ecosystem structure and function
4   : Explain how ecological communities change in both space and time
5   : Define biodiversity and explain why biodiversity is important
6   : Diagram the major cycles and be able to explain how human activity has altered this cycle
7   : Discuss current environmental issues in an ecological context
