Course Objective

To enable the student to show that he / she can carry out an independent piece of research on a theme in a scientifically sound manner and to demonstrate his/her ability to address a specific problem in a scientifically sound, ethical, thorough and precise manner in the course of a given period of time, and to help the student to communicate his or her findings convincingly.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Comprehend ethical guidelines to follow in research and how to avoid plagiarism.
2   Address and solve a specific problem in a scientifically sound, thorough and precise manner in the course of a given period of time.
3   To learn how to deal with data sets or information gathered to reach a solution for the problem being tackled and how to present the thoughts and findings in a convincing way.
4   Making a connection between interesting areas in science education and other disciplines.
5   Making a connection between selected subject and current studies in literature.
