Course Objective

Teaching methods used in the realization of the teaching of reading and writing, the problems encountered, problem solving ability to propose original models taking into account possible new approaches.

1   Being able to have knowledge of teaching methods in reading and writing.
2   Being able to solve problems in the teaching of reading and writing.
3   Being able to evaluate research conducted on the teaching of reading and writing.
4   Being able to carry out in schools to plan reading and writing activities.
5   Being able to offer original solutions to problems encountered in the teaching of reading and writing.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 The importance of human life, Reading and Writing Instruction.
2 Developmental characteristics of children from first grade of primary school.
3 Turkish areas of learning, listening and speaking.
4 Turkish areas of learning reading, writing and visual reading.
5 With the transition to reading and writing literacy.
6 Reading and writing letters and sentence method of teaching methods.
7 Sound based sentence method of teaching reading and writing methods.
8 Midterm Exam.
9 Teaching aids used in teaching reading and writing.
10 Research and identified the problems which are related to the teaching of Reading and Writing.
11 Continue the research work done.
12 Some Western European countries, the teaching of reading and writing.
13 Discussion of student reports on the teaching of reading and writing.
14 Students continue their presentation.
15 Final Exam.
