Course Objective

Gaining new awarness with new artistic productions (art projects) and with contemporary art and self theories, critics on real art examples and the importance, place , generator power of autobiography (life story) in all kinds of artistic expressions and creating contemporary artistic language. Providing lifes, events, people guiding the modern and postmodern artist's art works on a regular basis whoes art subject is his/her own life in creating artistic language.Person by identifying his/her presence, placing his/her own biography ın artistic language, to convert contemporary artistic productions and gain practical skills of contemporary art techniques and materials from theory to practice.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1- Can define biography, autobiography and types.
2   2- Can express biography as an art work.
3   3- Know the contribution of autobiography as a part of literature to visual arts and can use the materials and techniques of contemporary art in post-structuralist understanding autobiographical art projects.
4   4- Can analyze contemporary visual artworks with melting borders between personal mythology life and art..
5   5- Ability to read out the autobiography, narrative autobiographic effort, memory and cultural elements from contemporary art known about the life suffered deconstructed, re-expression of postmodern local and foreign artist's artworks.
6   6- Placing one's own existence and biography in his/her artistic language with the project based education model, ability to create autobiographic artistic project products.

1 1 Week Introduction to the Biography & Autobiography concepts. Introduction of the course. 11 Week Autobiographic expressive postmodern artists in Turkey and their artworks
2 2 Week Autobiography/ diary understanding- a literary field. Presentation of an example: The first examples of Attarbiography and Plutarkhos. 12 Week Project 3_-autobiographical art project application (self awareness- performance)
3 3 Week Types of Biography (By narrative types) -Exhibitor Life Story -Structural (fictional) life history 13 Week Project 3- autobiographical art project
