Course Objective

It is aimed to make students to gain knowledge about basic concepts used in environment and its education, theoretical Fundamentals of environmental behaviours like norm activation theory, the value-belief-norm theory, their use in environmental education and their results, environmental issues and their theoretical approaches in current science education.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain basic concepts used in environment and its education,
2   Explain norm activation theory and evaluate its use in environmental education studies and their results,
3   Explain the value-belief-norm theory and evaluate its use in environmental education studies and their results,
4   Evaluate scales used in mentioned theories,
5   Recognize environmental issues and their theoretical approaches in current science education.
