Course Objective

This course aims to examine how translation studies handles the ethics and how the sense of translation reflects on the ethics approaches.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The students will analyze the concept of ethics
2   The students will analyze different conceptions of ethics in different fields of translation
3   The students will analyze restrictions on ethics with respect to ideology, politics and law
4   The students will analyze reflections of the translator s values on his/her decisions
5   The students will analyze the relation between the ethics of translation and the responsibility of the translator
