Course Objective

Provide information about historical and technological developments of cameras and video cameras which have been radically evolved in our modern age, use them under present condition and conducted research and studies and technical skills for digital imaging, shot expremental films in the field of stage designing, the most important part of visuality in performing art within the contex of light, shade and colour compare archive-purpose visuals with knowledge on visual and written sourches and pave the way for discussion of new concept to create stage editing and atmosphere in sense.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have theoretical knowledge of historical and technological steps of imaging.
2   Develop technical and artistic skill performing applies studies on using analogue and digital cameras and video cameras.
3   Know have to benefit from photographic and or cinematographic visual to be obtained while appling their developed idea to performance during stage design.
4   Produce esthetical solutions and use them in played to be staged by combining techniques used to create stage design and atmosphere with visuals from shootings.
5   Be aware of professional and technical terms as to forming photographic-cinematographic imaging and combine them with stage design information.
6   Monitor theoretical and practical daily development for image catching processing and analyzing.
7   Follow technical and esthetical development related to visual art and transfer them on to stage and use such knowledge in expected researches and assignments.
8   Develop visual memory using personal studies-performance.

1 Late delivery of project will be considered to be reduction of point per every day.
2 Illumination sources and other technical equipment uses in video shooting.
3 Digital video recording formats.
4 Camera and lenses movements.
5 Camera shooting angles and light control.
6 .Indoor and outdoor shooting practices involving camera angles, lenses and camera movements.
7 Mid-term exam.
8 Photographic and video shooting practices from plays performed on the stage based on the present information.
9 Photographic and video shooting practices from décor, sketches and maquette in stage design.
10 Information on edit and transfer of shootings to computer medium.
11 Assessment of digital shooting practices on computer and edit studies.
12 Edit studies.
13 Discussion of esthetical approaches to uses of visuals from different photographic and video shooting to be performed.
14 Final exam.

Lecture
Imaging in stage arts is to be convayed to students via lecturing and sharing nation and foreign sourches directly or indirectly related to issues of sience and artistic research involving the course content as well as text material. One by one camera shooting and theoretical data base of photograph and video shootings are to be performed.Feed back of information throught assignment and exam is to be performed and assessed accordingly.
