Course Objective

Constituting the theoretical background on music of the students who will be professional opera singers; making them can explain and apply these theoretical knowledge during the lessons; providing their musical sensation and the development of their ability to perform by these ways.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can read the solfege pieces with treble and base clefs in medium difficulty.
2   Can read the pieces in the Major and minor tonalities including maximum two sharps and flats, with correct intonation.
3   Can figure out the rhythms of the pieces in medium difficulty measured in 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 3/8 ve 6/8.
4   Can apply all the musical terms and signs of dinamic, articulation, expression and speed(tempo) in the pieces they sing.
5   Can write dictation in the C Major and A minor tonalities with simple and compound measures.
