Course Objective

The aim of this course is to define the diseases of the skin and locomotor system and to discuss their pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define skin lesions and explain their mechanisms of formation
2   Describe etiopathogenesis, explain the basic principles of diagnosis and treatment of major dermatological diseases
3   Discuss the pharmacology of the drugs used in dermatological diseases
4   Take dermatological history and perform physical examination
5   Describe etiopathogenesis, explain the basic principles of diagnosis and treatment of major musculo-skeletal disorders
6   Discuss the pharmacology of the drugs acting on musculo-skeletal system
7   Describe the basic principles of relevant communication with patients with special condition such as disability
8   Discuss the ethical and legal aspects of occupational health (occupational accidents and occupational illness)

Year-end grade 80 and above = Annual grade 80 and above = exempt from the final exam = Successful
Year-end grade below 80: Year-end grade (50%) + Final exam (50%) = Annual grade 65 and above = Successful
Year-end grade (50%) + Resit exam (50%) = Annual grade 65 and above = Successful
