Course Objective

To teach basic subjects of organic chemistry which consist of carbon compounds chemistry and biochemistry which chemical structure of living things and chemical events happen in life span superficially.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understanding of scientific thinking and inquiring relation with daily life.
2   Have the knowledge about general classes of organic compounds, alkanes, alkenes, alkiynes, alkyl halides and aromatic compounds, their general properties, synthesis methods and reactions
3   Have knowledge about general classes of organic compounds, alcohols, ethers, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, amines and esters, their general properties
4   Learn the structure of oil, proteins and DNA
5   Identifies and categorize organic and inorganic compounds

Assessment Criteria

1. The basic principals of chemistry, the laws of chemistry will be assessed by exams, homeworks, portfolios and projects.

1. It is obligated to continue to at least 70% of lessons .
2. Every trial to copying will be finalized with disciplinary proceedings.
3. The instructor has right to make quizzes. The scores obtained from quizzes will be directly added to exam scores.
