Course Objective

The students are aimed to learn the laboratory materials and improve skills to use these materials, gain knowledge and skills about science lab safety rules and applications, develop skills of designing and evaluating elementary level (6-8) science experiments using simple and cheap materials.

1   Knows and uses methods and techniques of working in science laboratory
2   Takes and applies required safety precautions in carrying out experiments

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

The homeworks/presentations and laboratory work will be regarded as the mid-term scores. There will be a final exam.

Assessment Criteria

Learning objectives will be continously assesed via students homeworks/presentations and laboratory work during the semester. In addition, the final exam will be a general evaluation of all of the learning objectives.

1. It is required to attend at least 70% of the classes.
2. Misbehaviors in the exams may result in disciplinary charges.
3. There may be quizzes. The scores obtained from quizzes will be directly added to exam scores.
