Course Objective

This course aims to teach fundamental concepts related to hydrocarbons, functional groups, lipids, carbohydrates, aminoacids and nucleic acids, to investigate reactions and synthesis of them.

1   Classify and name organic compound.
2   Explain isomery and kinds of isomery
3   Understand reactions of functional groups and hydrocarbons.
4   Compare chemical reactions in terms of mechanism.
5   Understand the importance of organic compounds in biologic systems.
