Course Objective

To get general properties of cryptogames and their life cycles and learn similarities and dissimilarities between cryptogames and seed plants. To investigate the structures and systematics of seed plants and important plant groups in the world.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learn the diagnostic characters using in plant systematics.
2   Recognize living things reproduce by spore and describe the major groups of seed plants.
3   Say and write their classifications and distributions.
4   Say and write the differences and similarities between cryptogame and seedy plants.
5   Identify the plant specimens.

10 The living Gymnospermae orders: Cycadales, Ginkgoales, Coniferales, Gnetales
11 Vegetative and Reproductive characters of Angiospermae
12 Some Dicotyledons families: Magnoliaceae, Nymphaeaeceae, Ranunculaceae, Papaveraceae, Betulaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Malvaceae, Brassicaceae
13 Some Dicotyledons families: Primulaceae, Rosaceae, Fabaceae, Apiaceae, Lamiaceae, Asteraceae
