Course Objective

: To develop knowledge and abilities of classroom and school management, teaching methods and tools.

Course Contents

1 The place and the importance of school practicum in teacher education
2 Models of teacher prepation in developed countries.
3 Data collection, data analyses and writing report in school practicum
4 General introduction to curriculum and practice
5 Explanations related to the first assignment (Getting know about school, its management structure, the responsibilities of school principal and school board, and the school rules)
6 Submitting the first assignment, Explanations related to the second assignment (Examining the teacher activities in schools)
7 Submitting the second assignment, Explanations related to the third assignment (Examining the student activities in schools, Student presentations for the first two assignments
8 Mid-term exam
9 Submitting the third assignment, Explanations related to the fourth assignment(Examining the teaching methods and techniques)
10 Submitting the fourth assignment, Explanations related to the fifth assignment (Examining the school classes in terms of the activities used in asking questions to the students)
11 Submitting the fifth assignment, Explanations related to the sixth assignment (Examining the school classes in terms of the instructional management)
12 Submitting the sixth assignment, Student presentations for the fourth, fifth and sixth assignments
13 Explanations related to the seventh assignment (Investigating the recording, measurement and assesment methods used by the teacher for their students)
