Chemistry Teacher Education

Course Objective

To teach students experimental data in parallel to Physical Chemistry-II topics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Apply learned theoretical knowledge in the experiments.
2   Determine the densities of mixtures using a pycnometer.
3   Understand/ appoint colligative properties of the substance.
4   Examine the distribution of substances in liquids immiscible with each other.
5   Apply the Gibbs phase rule in phase diagrams of various systems.
6   Distinguish the differences between the temperature-pressure phase diagram of water and other substances and evaluate these differences in terms of behaviors and properties of substances.
7   Draw the phase diagrams of various systems, these diagrams to explain the phase transformations and temperature, pressure and composition to evaluate the effect of variables such as phase transformations.
8   Examine the physical and chemical adsorption of the solid surfaces.
