Course Objective

To increase environmental awareness, to teach reaction and behavior of contaminants in the environment, sources of pollutants in the environment, precautions against pollution, provide information on treatment methods and environmental analysis

1   understand the importance and necessity of the protection of the environment
2   understand the causes of air pollution, water pollution and soil pollution.
3   understand the global effects of environmental pollution
4   learn air, water and soil pollution countermeasures
5   learn treatment of waste waters and contaminated soils ability

4 Hydrocarbons and halocarbons
5 Karbonmonooxide
6 Sulfur oxides
7 Determination of particulate matter and air quality
8 Midterm Exam
9 Greenhouse effect and temperature inversion
10 Determination of water pollution and water quality
11 Water standards and laws
12 Biological decomposition, detergents and water contamination
13 Waste-water treatment
14 Toxic metals, oil and environmental pollution, pesticides
15 Final exam
