Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach students the essential events, ideas and peoples that changed the world history from the emergence of the first civilizations to our present day.

1   Explain the peculiarities which constitute and define Civilization
2   List the first civilizations and their achievements
3   Interpret the contributions of Greek, Roman and Islamic Civilizations to the World history
4   Analyze the main transformations of Western Civilization historically
5   Identify the essential events, people and ideas that changed the World history
