Course Objective

This course is designed to introduce content of thinking skills for teaching Social Studies to learners.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Through reading assignments, discussions, and class activities students will: Develop thinking skills that will assist them and their future students in understanding their world and their roles as citizens in world.
2   Develop communication skills that will assist them and their future students in understanding their world and their roles as citizens in world.
3   Learn planning and assessment procedures for effective, integrated, and functional social studies lessons.
4   Develop percepcions on using thinking skills for teaching social studies in the elementary classroom.
