Course Objective

: In this course it is aimed to teach that conceptual elements of ethics, the importance of individual and global freedom, global ethical values, development of ethical values and ethical systems, Professional ethics, ethical dilemmas in instruction, ethics in education

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To introduce ethics, Professional ethics, ethics in education
2   To introduce global ethical principles and values
3   To interpret concepts and definitions about ethics, professioanl ethics and ethics in education
4   To interpret global ethical princeples and values
5   To explain the princeples of professional ethics in the different applications in education
6   To evaluate principles pf ethics in education and management.

3 Basic areas of ethics approach: basic ethical theories
4 Meslek Etiğine Giriş: Meslek Kavramı, Etiğe Uygun Karar Verme, Meslek Etiğinin Kodları
5 Effectiveness and reponsibilities, to be beneficial and not to damage
6 Principles and rules in scientific researches and publications
7 Education and instruction as a profession concept of ethics and professional ethics, to judge the behaviours according to ethics
8 Mid term
9 Ethics in education
10 Education employees and ethics
11 Students ethical rights and responsibilities
12 Parents ethical rights and responsibilities
13 Social responsibilities of schools
14 Ethical Principles in Education Controlling, ethical problems and reasons in Turkish education system
