Course Objective

Course aims to teach the students, the basic concepts specific to social studies teaching program and their relationship with the field instruction, the structure of the program and its contents, the main objectives of the field instruction and special teaching methods.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Comprehends specific concepts and principles of Social Studies and the relationship of these concepts and principles with the field instruction.
2   Knows social studies education program, classifies the general objectives of the program by explaining the structure.
3   Knows the special teaching methods and, develops and evaluates the lesson plans accordingly.
4   Examines and evaluates examples of teacher and student workbooks.
5   Lives the first experience with the application without a teacher in the classroom.
