Course Objective

Teacher candidates recognizing primary school, students, the different aspects of social studies education program and classroom teachers.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to recognize Elementary School, its functions and possibilities 2   Being able to recognize characteristics and principles of social studies teacher profession 3   Being able to have experience of participating in extracurricular activities at school 4   Being able to know the activities in the lessons through observation 5   Being able to recognize developmental characteristics of children of 12-14 age period and accordingly to teaching approaches
