Course Objective

The aim of this course is to develop the reading habits of the prospective teachers studding at the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology regarding the developments in computer science and current technologies and trigger their curiosity for the new technologies, create a habit of following the developments in their fields and using current computer technologies in their professional lives.

1 Definition of technology in education, its developmental timelines in history, advantages, limitations
2 Usage of nuclear technology advantages, limitations, usage of cloning technology, its advantages, limitations, ethical investigation of these topics
3 Definition of Nano technology, usage areas, advantages, limitations
4 Human relations and technology art and technology, environment and technology. The ethical investigation of these topics.
5 Technology and ethics, computer crimes and its consequences. Definition of computer technologies, usage of computer technologies in education, advantages and limitations
6 Current situation of space technologies
7 Current situation of artificial intelligence
8 Mid term
9 Definition of internet and communication technologies, investigation of the current situation of it
10 Investigation of the current situation of computer technologies,
11 technology and its positive and negative consequences on health
12 Quantum physics and its basic principles and philosophy, quantum computers, their structure, capacity and features.
13 What is cryptology, its historical timeline, features, application fields, encrypting technologies
14 Future technologies, blue ray technology and their current statues
15 Final exam
