Course Objective

Tha aim of this course is provide student teachers with the necessary knowledge about informatics related ethical issues in education, and enable them with skills to cope with such issues while teaching

1   To explain the change in interaction/communication channels and society, the role of information technology within this change
2   To evaluate the role of information Technologies in transfering global values.
3   To explain the effect of IT on social life
4   To explain the effect of IT on working life
5   To evaluate Social institutions in informatics society, the importance of IT in national and local organisations
6   To describe ethical problems resulting from informatics
7   To explain problems related information, copyright, health, new crime tools and new crimes, home offices
8   To explain the role of technology in the use of time for family and private interests, virtual environments, virtual communities, artificial intelligence and human, social care and technology.
9   To be knowledgeable about Principles for Professional Practice for Career Services & Employment in Turkey and other countries.
10   To describe ethical issues in education and their relation to informatics
11   To explain ethical behaviours of informatics teachers
