Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the prospective teachers studying at the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology regarding objectivist teaching principles namely Gagne s 9 steps of instruction and enable students integrate ARCS motivation theory to an instructional program teaching a computer related subject.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to classify learning outcomes according to Gagne s model
2   To be able to know Gagne's 9 steps of instruction
3   To be able to apply Gagne's 9 steps of instruction model when teaching computers
4   To be able to state 4 elements of ARCS motivation theory
5   To be able to entegrate ARCS motivation teory into instruction when teaching computers
6   To be able to entegrate ARCS motivation teory into instruction designed with Gagne's 9 steps of instruction model when teaching computers
