Course Objective

This course helps Computer Education and Instructional Technology students to gain how to design and develop a multimedia. Students use ADDIE model as a road map and understand analyze, design, development, and evaluation steps of ADDIE model. In addition, they learn Flash and use it to develop and instructional multimedia.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to state Instructional design processes to design a multimedia.
2   To be able to apply the first step analyze of multimedia design
3   To be able to apply graphic design principles
4   To be able to apply design step of multimedia design after learning LO-3, LO-4 and LO-5.
5   To be able to developing educational multimedia by using Flash software
6   To be able to select formative and summative evaluation techniques
7   To be able to prepare a Project report
8   To be able to manage a Project group

2 Examining example projects, discussion on them. Flash homework 1- Drawing, coloring and making objects, using library,
3 ID Model use for developing educational multimedia and ADDIE ID model.
4 The basic steps of Analyze of ID and example topics for project Flash homework 2- Motion tween, shape tween, using layers, masking and guiding
5 Concept teaching, concept maps, planning in concept course.
6 The basic steps of Design of ID Flash homework 3- symbols, interactive symbols, simple timeline scripts,
7 Motivation, ARCS motivation theory.
8 Mid-term exam
9 Flash homework 4- Using Event Handlers Math, String Objects.
10 Graphic design principles
