Course Objective

This course aims to bring forward the proposals via analyzing either political or media discourse in Europe, especially in France through the accession process of Turkey to the EU.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to apprehend what the European Union is as a social, economical and cultural union
2   Being able to apprehend the relations between Turkey and European Union.
3   Being able to comprehend the geo-political importance of Turkey
4   Being able to analyze the political discourses confessed in accession of Turkey to the European Union.
5   Being able to analyze the political discourses, in written or visual media, about EU membership process of Turkey.
