Course Objective

The purpose of the course is to familiarize students with types of poetry , terms used in poetry, analysis of poetry, studying and applying literary devices in poetry.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to enable students to distingusih types of use poetry
2   to equip them with types of text
3   to enable them to know about French poetry
4   to equip them with rhyming scheme
5   to enable them to see the metre
6   to enable them to see the differences between verse and prose
7   to enable them to see the literary devices in poetry
