Course Objective

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with what critical theories are and how they can apply them in texts. Students are equipped with knowledge and applications on dogmatic criticism, genetic criticism, sociological criticism, psychoanalytical criticism.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to empower students with knowledge on critica theories
2   to enable them to acquire the types of critical theories
3   to enable them to apply phenomenological approach
4   to enable them to learn subjective criticism (poetics, thematics,literary semiotics, semiotics)
5   to enable them to apply thes etheories to different texts
