Course Objective

Being able to conceive multi cultural and intercultural art education comprehension as comparison our cultural values and other country cultures and being influenced, being able to learn multi cultural art education comprehension. Project based unit plan and being able to prepare daily plan. Being able to conceive contemporary education methods in visual arts and basic design education, conceive evaluation based on the criteria. Being able to conceive the method of plan preparation. Being able to benefit from audio-visual resources and education technology in visual arts and design education.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Multi field visual arts education methods. Aims of multi field visual arts education.
2   Knowing theoretical basis of multi field visual arts education, Visual arts as a discipline and Discipline based art education.
3   Being applied multi field visual arts education method to primary and secondary education program in Turkey. Knowing Art education fields in the new method.
4   Knowing what is art history education and art history is, Why should it be taught, Art historical research methods, What are art historical asking question methods, What are functions of art historians, Art history work sheet. Searching subjective art history.
5   Knowing Education of art criticism, What is art criticism, Why is it being learned, What are functions of art critics, By which way and methods art criticism can be taught, Learning to see Looking for learn.
6   Knowing the aesthetic education, what is beauty is, What the difference between beauty in nature and art is, What art world is, What the guide knowledge is for people who have a part in art world, Matching art theory to work of art and why work of art important is, Matching work of art and art theory, Aesthetic Theories.
7   Knowing Artistic practice education, Practical Works, What are practical works, Why we teach practicing art, How can practical works be listed, Theories of motivation and Establishing a visual class for practical Works.
