Course Objective

To learn the types, techniques and principles of illustration the one of the modern applications of graphic design by doing. Illustrating a children's book in a unique and creative way with different techniques and formats.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knowing art, design and graphic design and its role in modern life. 2   Knowing illustration, its type and techniques, digitalizing the illustrations. 3   Knowing visual perception. 4   Creating a character for the story and defining the scenes of the story according to the characteristics of the age. 5   Knowing format and paper sizes and choosing the right size and type of paper. 6   Illustrating. 7   Typing with the help of Adobe and adding type to the illustrations. 8   Designing a cover for the book.
