Course Objective

This course aims to give students knowledge of American cultural history and theories used in cultural studies.

1   To have knowledge about American cultural history.
2   To have a basic knowledge of some cultural concepts.
3   To be capable of interpreting primary sources on American cultural history and doing textual analysis.
4   To be capable of using course s terminology.
5   To have a basic knowledge of theories used in cultural studies.
