Course Objective

This course aims to give information about necessary tools which using search knowledge on internet, doing mathematics by computer and writing results as a report.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   will be able searching online literature
2   will be able writing mathematical knowledge in digital platform via LaTeX
3   will be able using basic command and structure of Maple software
4   will be able using basic command and structure of Mathematica software
5   will be able defining and solving mathematical problem with one of software introduced.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 What is Latex , Latex editors. Structure of Latex. Sectioning. Abstract. Text mode and math mode.
2 Equation numbering, insert picture, table, cross referencing, teorem, definition, etc writing
3 Table of contents, bibliography(Bibtex), appendices, indexing. Presentation with Latex(Beamer)
4 Introducing front end of mathmatica, help of mathematica, structure of mathematica, variables.
5 Calculus in mathematica(functions, equations, derivative, integral, sequences, series, limit)
6 Linear algebra in mathematica(vectors, matrices, systems of linear equations), Graphics(2D-3D)
7 Mathematica as a programming language: loop structures, control structures.
8 midterm
9 Modules, file operations, animations.
10 Introducing front end of maple, help of maple, structure of maple, variables.
11 Calculus in maple(functions, equations, derivative, integral, sequences, series, limit)
12 Linear algebra in maple(vectors, matrices, systems of linear equations), Graphics(2D-3D)
